Why Community is important when growing a thriving business

**warning, not travel related, but important :)**

I trust your 2014 is going great so far. I’m blessed that this has been the busiest start to our year. We are now entering the 4th year of Mantra Wild. What an accomplishment! I’m so proud of our company and extremely grateful for the support I’ve received to grow the business.

If you’re a business owner like me, you will know how challenging it can be, running your own business. Even more so when you are first starting out. You need to think about creative ways to grow the business, or how to market on a limited budget, managing cashflow…. The list goes on.

It was nearly 9 months ago, where I was on the verge of a breakdown. I was involved with 2 businesses. My own brand – Mantra Wild, and also a shareholder and Director of a travel agency. I found myself totally stressed out, out of energy and not in a very good place mentally and physically. I was suffering from Adrenal Fatigue – burnt out and running on the stress hormone, cortisol.

I realised the my attention to both businesses was not good for my health, so I had to quit the travel agency and focus on my passion and love – India. I was very blessed to have the support of my family and friends. But there was also another support that kept me going. It was the community I was a part of online. I can’t tell you how much they supported my challenging time and to help me realise that I could move forward with Mantra Wild.

A few weeks ago, I sent you a training video on one of my mentors Marie Forleo. It was through her B School programme that I had met this amazing community of like minded business owners that cheered and supported me through this challenging period. I also have to say my mum was a huge support for me too.
